Start with the product subtotal
Record the current listing price for the exact option, not the lowest number displayed for another variant. Add seller-to-warehouse delivery and any option-specific surcharge. Spreadsheet prices are research signals and may be outdated, so verify the source listing before payment.
Allow for warehouse choices
Extra measurements, detailed photos, protective packaging or other optional services may add small charges. Decide which services resolve a real uncertainty. One targeted measurement can be more useful than several general images.
Estimate international freight as a range
Use both estimated scale weight and possible parcel volume. Bulky packaging can make a light item expensive. Compare at least two plausible parcel weights and routes so your decision does not depend on one optimistic estimate.
Calculate landed cost per item
Add product, domestic delivery, services, freight allocation, insurance, payment conversion and known destination charges. Divide shared freight consistently across the parcel. After delivery, update the estimate with actual figures; this makes the next haul easier to plan.
Avoid misleading comparisons
Do not compare two agents using headline freight rates alone. The parcel dimensions, route, included services, exchange rate and compensation limits must be comparable. The cheapest-looking route may not fit the item type or delivery expectations.
